Real Madrid will name Zinedine Zidane‘s successor before next Thursday (June 14) – the day in which the World Cup begins, according to AS.

Los Blancos hierarchy were shellshocked when the club legend announced his resignation at the end of the last month following three unprecedented Champions League triumphs.

That has led to widespread speculation over who will replace him, with names such as Antonio Conte, Arsene Wenger and Guti in the mix.

According to reports, Real will do their utmost to appoint their new boss on the same day, or just before the summer showpiece gets underway in Russia.

It remains to be seen whether or not Madrid can conclude a deal during this short timeframe.
