Real Madrid will have to do without midfield maestro Isco for next week’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu.

The cultured playmaker sustained a shoulder injury in the first leg victory at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night, with tests revealing the 26-year-old has an AC joint sprain on his left arm.

Isco is currently undergoing treatment and is expected to miss up to three weeks of action, also ruling him out of El Clasico on May 6. He should, however, be fit for a potential Champions League final on May 26.

Real have been advised not to rush the Spaniard back, given the history of club captain Sergio Ramos sustaining a similar problem and ultimately needing surgery to rectify the issue having returned too soon.
