Key stats as Real Madrid look to get their La Liga campaign on track against Alaves

Following their shock home loss to Real Betis earlier in the week, Real Madrid are looking to regroup on Saturday against Alaves.

The Basque club may be the ideal opponents for Zinedine Zidane’s side, as Alaves have become the first side in La Liga history to lose their first five games without scoring a goal.

Madrid haven’t lost an away game to Alaves since 1931, another good omen for a side that was considered to be the clear-cut title favourites leading into the season but has already fallen seven points behind leaders Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for his first league goal of the season, having missed the first four games due to suspension, and you wouldn’t bet against him opening his account on Saturday.

Have a look at all the key stats for Saturday’s game in our video below.
