Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will make full use of his star-studded squad as Los Blancos prepare for a busy September in all competitions.

When the Whites’ glut of international stars return from international duty next week, Saturday’s home clash with Levante (September 9) kicks off a marathon month that will see the La Liga and European champions play seven matches in 22 days.

It all starts with a home game against Levante on September 9 before they kick off their Champions League campaign against APOEL Nicosia at the Bernabeu four days later (September 13).

And according to Marca, boss Zidane will ring the changes – like he did throughout last season – to ensure everyone gets a chance to impress.

That will likely see reserve goalkeeper Kiko Casilla, new signing Theo Hernandez and young midfielder Marco Llorente all come into the starting line-up and the possibility of key stars Marcelo and Isco, among others, enjoying a weekend off.

Last term, Zidane made a total of 13 changes immediately after international breaks in September, October, November and March (Marca) – and is a man very much in favour of the rotation policy.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be available until the home clash against Real Betis on September 21 – as he still has two more matches to sit out following his five-match suspension.

He will however be able to play in Real’s opening Champions League opener against APOEL Nicosia.
