Real Madrid legend Raul celebrates his 40th birthday on Tuesday.

Raul, who was born in Madrid and initially started life at Atletico Madrid’s academy set-up before moving to Real in 1992, made his senior bow during the 1994-95 campaign – becoming the youngest player at 17 years and 124 days to play for the Whites.

The Spaniard went on to make a club record 741 appearances and scored 323 goals – a feat only Cristiano Ronaldo has bettered.

The video below takes a closer look at the former Spanish international’s stellar career.
