2016 has been quite a year for Cristiano Ronaldo and seems to be ending on a high as well.

The Real Madrid superstar secured a fourth Ballon d’Or following an outstanding year in which he won the Champions League, Euro 2016 and Club World Cup.

The 31-year-old returned to training on Wednesday following a break with family and took to Instagram to show off his newly acquired prized possession.

Ronaldo posted a picture of a brand new Mercedes AMG GLE, valued at around Dh450,000, and captioned the image ‘new beast’.

The Portuguese was recently named Globe Soccer’s best player of 2016 this week in Dubai.
