PSG star and Real Madrid target Neymar puts Manchester City on alert with Pep Guardiola praise

Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil superstar Neymar says he “really wants to” work with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

“I’ve always wanted to work with Guardiola,” the 26-year-old told ESPN Brasil. “He’s different.”

“I arrived (in Barcelona) a year after he left. I really want to work with him.”

Neymar arrived in Barcelona in 2013, a year after Guardiola left the club having led La Blaugrana to 14 trophies in four seasons as manager.

The Brazilian had his own decorated spell at the Catalan club, winning eight trophies in four seasons before a world-record €222 million transfer to PSG last summer.

Neymar has since been linked with a move away from the Paris capital, with plenty of speculation over a potential move to Barcelona’s bitter rivals Real Madrid, and the player has done little to quell the rumours that he wants to leave.

His latest comments about Guardiola may give the PSG hierarchy cause for concern.
