The Our Own English High School talent has been in a rich vein of form in the Fujairah section of the National School League, and he was back in the habit on Saturday for Our Own English High School’s Under-14 side as both they and the U-16s stormed into the knockout stages at Fujairah Football Club.

Hazim’s huge haul was added to emphatically in a rampant 13-1 win against GEMS Winchester School Fujairah, scoring six goals in a one-sided affair – taking his overall tournament tally from 10 to 16 – which went some way to putting his side into the next round which will take place at The Sevens in Dubai in the new year.

Meanwhile, another top performer on the day was Our Own’s Salem Samer, who earned two man of the match accolades in the U-16 section.

Samer bagged the only goal of the game in Our Own’s 1-0 win over St Mary’s Catholic School and added another as they beat Fujairah Private Academy 2-0. Our Own will be joined in the next round by the Institute Of Applied Technology who topped the U-16 table with a comfortable 4-0 victory against the Indian School Fujairah on Saturday.

Joining Our Own in the knockouts in the U-14 section will be Indian School Fujairah who edged out Fujairah Private Academy by the narrowest of margins.

Both sides finished on 10 points apiece with nearly identical records. They each won three games, drew one and lost one, with
the Indian School going through thanks to a superior goal difference.
