Liverpool will be concerned over the fitness of Mohamed Salah after the Egypt star seemingly picked up an injury late on during his country’s Africa Cup of Nations Group J qualifying victory over Swaziland on Friday.
The 26-year-old, who spectacularly scored his 38th international goal directly from a first-half corner as the Pharaohs roared to a 4-1 success, was withdrawn in stoppage-time, minutes after receiving treatment for what first appeared to be a groin injury.
Salah is now a doubt for the return leg, which is set to take place on Tuesday.
