Liverpool star Mohamed Salah refuses to celebrate after sublime first-half brace against Roma

Roma began the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Liverpool at Anfield well enough for the first 25 minutes but then Mohamed Salah came to life.

The Egyptian forced a good save from Alisson but wouldn’t be denied a second time.

In the 35th minute, he was afforded a couple of yards to cut inside onto his left foot just inside the area and made the visitors pay with a sublime curling finish into the top corner.

He raised his arms apologetically after scoring a beauty against his former side as the Anfield roof was blown right off with raucous celebrations.

On the stroke of half-time, he broke free, latched onto Roberto Firmino’s through ball and nonchalantly chipped the keeper for Liverpool’s second.

Again, the 25-year-old refused to celebrate as he was pounced on by his ecstatic team-mates.

Roma went into the break shocked and 2-0 down.
