Radamel Falcao’s agent Jorge Mendes admits the striker’s future with Manchester United is uncertain.

Falcao is on a season-long loan deal at United from Monaco which includes the option for the Premier League side to buy.
But there have been plenty of questions as to the likelihood of the Red Devils taking up that option, with the 28-year-old having only netted three times so far in an injury-affected campaign and being left out of the squad altogether for Sunday’s 1-0 home loss to Southampton.
Reports have suggested Falcao was shocked by United boss Louis van Gaal’s decision to omit him from the matchday squad, a call the manager confirmed was tactical. Van Gaal did also stress after Sunday’s game that Falcao had started the previous five fixtures and that the next match would be “another moment” in terms of selection.
“He is a fantastic player, and I think it’s very difficult for Manchester United fans," Jorge Mendes told Sky Italia.
“They have an absolutely brilliant player, one of the very best in the world, who would without any doubt play 90 minutes of the match, every time, with any other club.
“The truth is, right now we don’t know what will happen.
“What we do know is that he will play in one of the very best clubs in the world next season, whether that is Manchester United or not.
“I am 100 per cent sure of that. But you know how football works, we need to wait a little. We’ll see what happens.”
Meanwhile, Daley Blind knows he and his United team-mates are going to have to battle hard for places in Van Gaal’s side.
Utility man Blind made his first appearance for the Red Devils on Sunday since sustaining a knee injury in November.
The 24-year-old started eight games in a row prior to suffering the problem, but he has returned at a time when the Red Devils’ previously extensive injury list has finally been reduced to almost nothing and competition for first-team spots is as fierce as it has been all season.
“The places in the team are expensive, and the manager has said that as well," Blind said.
“So you have to train, every day, very hard to show yourself and show that you really want to play.”
“It was my first game in seven weeks I think, and it was a bit heavy in the end but I think I felt pretty good after 90 minutes.
“It’s good to be back, I’m only disappointed that it’s not with a win.
“It was really unlucky, an unlucky moment (sustaining the injury).
“Apart from this injury I’ve been really fit during my career so I hope it stays that way. Now we have to bounce back – we have to stand up as a team and work hard.”
