Paul Pogba is the big omission from the Manchester United starting XI to face City in the Manchester derby – the Frenchman is not even in the matchday squad.

There was no immediate reason for the World Cup winner not being included. Romelu Lukaku finds a place on the bench, where he surprisingly finds himself alongside Alexis Sanchez – who is left out of the starting side by boss Jose Mourinho after impressing against Bournemouth last weekend.

Marcus Rashford is brought in for the Chilean in a front three featuring Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.

Marouane Fellaini starts alongside Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera in midfield.
