Zinedine Zidane has been linked to Manchester United as a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho, and it seems the Frenchman already likes some of the talent the Premier League club has on its roster.

In what would be his final season at the helm of Real Madrid, Zidane had interest in bringing Manchester United trio David De Gea, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial to the Champions League winners, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Informal meetings between the two clubs took place, with Madrid asking to be kept informed on the status of the three players.

Zidane’s affinity for Pogba may mean the 25-year-old remains at Old Trafford if the former Real boss takes over on the touchline. Pogba and Mourinho have been embroiled in a contentious relationship which has threatened to break apart the dressing room.
