Sadio Mane insists Liverpool will not ‘choke’ and will lift Premier League title

Sadio Mane is confident Liverpool will go all the way and win the Premier League this season.

Th Reds have been branded as chokers, mainly to their infamous conceding of the league in the 2013/14 season.

A 2-0 defeat to Chelsea was followed by a 3-3 draw to Crystal Palace in their penultimate game. Eventually, Manchester City walked away with the title that season.

Incidentally, it is City who are most likely to win it this season, should Liverpool slip up again.

However, Mane is not one to be perturbed by the ‘chokers’ tag.

“This is not a team of chokers. I am sure we will be champions of England,” Mane told Sky Sports.

“When I wake up, I don’t go to the training ground thinking we will not win. We are determined to show we are the best team in the league.”

“Liverpool had the chance to win it a few years ago and did not do it but I prefer to think it helped to bring us where we are now.

“This is not a team of chokers. I am sure we will win the league.”
