Liverpool won’t sell Divock Origi on cheap as Borussia Dortmund circle

Liverpool are reportedly determined not to sell unwanted striker Divock Origi on the cheap as Borussia Dortmund prepare a move.

Origi, 23, spent last season on loan at the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg after he was made surplus to requirement by manager Jurgen Klopp. He only scored seven goals in 36 appearances for a relegation-threatened side, but BVB are in need of attacking reinforcements.

The Liverpool Echo reports that promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers refused to meet a £27 million asking price for the Belgium international earlier this summer. Dortmund have registered interest and could yet strike a deal as they look to bolster a threadbare forward line.

Origi, who cost £10m from Lille in 2014, has scored 21 times in 77 matches for the Reds.
