Liverpool will play their first pre-season friendly at Anfield in four years when they face Torino on August 7.

The match was announced by Liverpool on Friday and will be the Reds’ final warm-up game before their Premier League campaign kicks off at home to West Ham four days later. Liverpool and Italian Serie A outfit Torino have never previously played against each other.

Borussia Dortmund, then managed by current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, were the last visitors to Anfield for a pre-season game in 2014. Liverpool won 4-0 on that occasion.
