Liverpool and Brazil forward Roberto Firmino has labelled Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos an “idiot” after his incendiary remarks about last month’s controversial Champions League final.

The Los Blancos skipper criticised Firmino, goalkeeper Loris Karius and Egypt superstar Mohamed Salah in the aftermath of his club’s 3-1 triumph.

Speaking to media ahead of Brazil’s World Cup 2018 campaign, Firmino was not impressed.

He said: “I prefer not to make any comments [about Ramos]. I think he has a view because he was [Champions League] champion… but I thought he was a big idiot for that.”
