Atetico Madrid boss Diego Simeone confirmed his desire to manage Inter Milan at some point in his career.

The Argentine represented the Italian side as a player for two seasons and won the UEFA Cup in 1998.

He has been linked to other clubs but Simeone maintained that he has given a ‘yes’ to Inter in the future.

“I have told Inter already 2,000 times, it will happen,” Simeone told AS.

“I will continue to work day by day with piece of mind, I have one year left of my contract here and at the moment we are working very well.

“I hope to continue on the same path that we have worked on for the last 12 or 13 years, my style is in accordance with the club.

“This club has a personality like many others – Juventus, Barcelona, Athletic Club Bilbao – so you have to get the players and personalities around that, they are who are important.”
