CARLOS VELA (Real Sociedad) – 7.7

Vela topped this week’s ratings despite not scoring during Real Sociedad’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona.

In truth, the Mexican was unlucky not to score, twice hitting the woodwork. Another attempted effort led to the opening goal, as teammate Willian Jose was on hand to tuck in the rebound.

TAKASHI INUI (Eibar) – 7.6

The Japanese winger played a hand in two of Eibar’s goals as they beat Real Betis 3-1.

Inui drew the foul from which Pedro Leon scored the opening goal with a free kick, before setting up Sergi Enrich with a pinpoint cross to score Los Armeros’ second.

JONATHAN VIERA (Las Palmas) – 7.5

Viera scored one of the goals of the weekend to lead Las Palmas to a 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao.

The Spanish attacker has now scored four goals and provided three assists to cement himself into one of the premier playmakers for Vicente Dauder’s side.

SANDRO RAMIREZ (Málaga) – 7.5

Sandro converted a superb free kick to guide Malaga to a thrilling 4-3 win over Deportivo La Coruna.

The Spanish forward’s left-footed strike hit the angle of the post and crossbar before going in, a shot that any goalkeeper in the world would have struggled to stop.

It was his sixth goal the season, a remarkable tally for the 21-year-old who joined the club in July from Barcelona.

JAVI ONTIVEROS (Malaga) – 7.5

As good as Sandro’s goal was, Javi Ontiveros’ injury-time winner for Malaga was even better.

Cutting in from the left, the midfielder beat two defenders before unleashing a ferocious drive to win the game for Malaga.

It was the 19-year-old’s first goal of the season.
