Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has added two new star names to the line-up of the 8th Dubai International Sports Conference which takes place later this month.

Spain and Barcelona superstar Xavi, and German legend Uli Hoeness, who is also the current President of Bayern Munich, will be in attendance at the conference.

They will join Bayern star – and Ballon d'Or finalist – Franck Ribery and his club coach Pep Guardiola at the conference, with both men's attendances confirmed last month.

The conference, held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, will take place from December 28-29 at Mina Salam, Madinat Jumeirah, and will operate under the theme ‘Empowering the Future of Football’.

Ribery, Xavi , Hoeness, and Guardiola will be joined by other illustrious names from the world of football including Italian manager Fabio Capello, the current coach of Russia, Juventus boss Antonio Conte, and former Brazilian international Ronaldo.

The two-day conference will be eco-friendly, using ‘green’ and recycled material for all publications.

The event will also see the debut of several digital and electronic initiatives in line with the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

On the second night of the conference, Globe Soccer will be hosting their annual Awards ceremony – the Audi Football Gala Night – that will recognise and reward the best in football.

As well as accolades for best player – last year won by Colombian striker Radamel Falcao and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2011 – best coach, agent, and director, there will also be an award for best fan of the year.

You can put yourself in contention for the 2014 Best Fan of the Year Award by applying at www.globesoccer.com/awards-2013/best-fan-award-2013.

The fan chosen will win an all-expenses paid trip to Dubai and a place at the Audi Football Gala Night, where they will rub shoulders with some of the biggest legends in football.
