David Silva has brought the curtain down on a magnificent international career with Spain, announcing his retirement, aged 32.

The Manchester City schemer won a massive 125 caps for La Roja after making his debut in 2006, going on to score 35 goals – playing a part in the 2008 and 2012 European Championship triumphs, as well as winning a first World Cup with his nation in 2010.
