Under-fire Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has claimed fine margins are making a big difference to the levels of criticism he is receiving.

Neuer, 32, missed the majority of last season with a broken foot and was rushed back for World Cup 2018 – where Die Mannschaft exited, as holders, at the group stage.

Uncharacteristically error-filled displays have recently been registered for Bayern Munich and he was not convincing for Germany  in Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to the Netherlands.
