Bundesliga side Hamburg will return to Abu Dhabi for a winter training camp from January 7 to 14. HSV spent last year in the capital and were left impressed by the city’s facilities and climate in January.

Bert van Marwijk’s side are currently 14th in the Bundesliga and will not be the only German top-flight club in the capital over the new year as Eintracht Frankfurt have also been confirmed for a similar training camp.

“The UAE offers perfect weather and training facilities for the Rothosen. “The average temperature at that time of year is 25 degrees,” read a Hamburg statement.

Two friendly games will be played during the training camp as Hamburg take on Dutch top-flight side Vitesse Arnhem on January 10 followed by a match against Quairat Almaty of Kazakhstan.

Both games will be played at Zayed Sports City Stadium.
