Gameweek 27 is not just any old week for fantasy football managers. It’s the first gameweek all season when some sides don’t have any matches. Tottenham Hotspur face Chelsea in the Capital One Cup Final on Sunday so these two teams and relegation-stricken QPR and Leicester miss out on a fixture. But no need to panic, here are Sport360’s weekly fantasy football tips.

What should I do with all my Chelsea players?

KEEP THEM

You are going to lose money if you sell them and want to buy them back in the future. Diego Costa is worth buying back next week if you sold him when he got a three match ban. He can be purchased for 11.0m – that’s  1.9m cheaper than Sergio Aguero.  The Blues are playing West Ham next and they are in a poor run of form. In their last nine Premier League matches, they have only won once. Expect Costa to add to his 17 goals he has already got this season in this London derby.

What should I do with all my Spurs players?

KEEP THEM / GET THEM NEXT WEEK

It’s even more vital to keep your Spurs players, than the Chelsea ones. They have a double gameweek next week. The likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and the defenders/Hugo Lloris could earn you a huge amount of points.  The only worry is how precautious Mauricio Pochettino is with his squad. He could bring his key players like Kane and Eriksen off early and rotate the squad knowing that they have two matches in three days. If you can get three Spurs players next week, do it. They should beat both Swansea (h) and QPR (a).

What should I do with all my QPR players?

GET CHARLIE AUSTIN / KEEP CHARLIE AUSTIN

There are only two players that have been valuable assets for QPR this season in fantasy football and they are Charlie Austin and Leroy Fer. However, the latter is out for two more months with a knee injury but Austin has returned in style, netting against Hull City, after a foot injury kept him out the previous week. Although QPR don’t have a match this week, they have a double gameweek next and that involves two home fixtures. Everybody knows how much that team likes playing at Loftus Road. Out of QPR’s 22 points, 19 of them have come at home so expect Austin to get on the scoresheet at least once in the double header.

What should I do with all my Leicester players?

SELL THEM

You won’t lose much money if you trade your Leicester City players for cheap replacements that have a fixture this week, because none of their values have risen much. The club is bottom of the league so they should only be used as back-up anyway. They have the daunting task of travelling to the Etihad to play Man City next week. They will be praying for a similar performance as when they travelled to Manchester earlier in the season and hammered the Red Devils 5-3.

After they face City, they have a nice run of fixtures and the one man that has caught Sport360’s eye is Jeffrey Schlupp.

The Ghana international is playing as a left winger for the Foxes and has been one of the most consistent performers all season, scoring three goals and assisting one. He is only selected by 0.6% of players so he could be a tasty option in gameweek 30 for 4.5m.
