Romelu Lukaku has been left out of the Manchester United squad that travelled to Norway this morning for their latest pre-season friendly.

The Belgian forward is inching closer to joining either Inter Milan or Juventus and has stayed at home in Manchester while the Red Devils travel to Kristiansund in Western Norway.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side face Kristiansund on Tuesday in their final pre-season friendly before the Premier League campaign gets underway on August 11.

Lukaku did not feature during the Red Devils’ pre-season tour of Australia, Singapore and China due to an ankle injury but is now believed to be fit.

The 26-year-old has dropped a massive hint about his United future on Sunday night, by posting a picture on his Twitter account alongside his agent Federico Pastorello with the caption “Soon to be continued”.

It is understood Lukaku’s primary choice is to sign for Inter, however he would also be open to a move to Juventus.
