Romelu Lukaku’s value increases to €158.5m since joining Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku’s stock has risen immensely over the last few months.

Ever since his move to Old Trafford, Lukaku’s potential value has increased from €102.7m to €158.5m, according to the CIES Football Observatory’s newest data release.

The Belgian international has scored a goal every 82 minutes for Manchester United, in comparison to a goal every 133 minutes when he was at Everton last season. He is also the top goalscorer in the Premier League currently.

The other big names who’ve made a jump in the list include Kylian Mbappe (+€50m), Paulo Dybala (+€47m) and Ousmane Dembele (+€45m).

French international Mbappe has been a delight to watch in Ligue 1 under boss Unai Emery at PSG, having scored three goals and provided two assists this term – with his value estimated at €145.8m.

Depicting the change in value of players, the list also includes his team-mate Neymar, who made a record move from Barcelona, at €239.6m.

Meanwhile, other names featured t include, Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (€58.7m), Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (€131.3m), United’s Marcus Rashford (€98.6m), Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah (€98m) and Gianluigi Donnarumma (€65.1m).
