Arsenal upset the odds to beat Premier League champions Chelsea 2-1 and secure the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday.
Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring before Diego Costa levelled proceedings in the 76th minute only for Aaron Ramsey to grab the winner three minutes later.

Of the 11 finals at the rebuilt Wembley Stadium, seven have been won by one of these two teams – Arsenal adding to their wins in 2014 and 2015 while Chelsea lifted the trophy in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012.

Chelsea’s Victor Moses became the fifth player to be sent off in an FA Cup final, and the third in the last five years after Manchester United’s Chris Smalling 12 months ago and Manchester City’s Pablo Zabaleta in 2013. Kevin Moran in 1985 and Jose Antonio Reyes in 2005 are the others.
RAMSEY ON REPEAT
Aaron Ramsey scored the winner in the cup final for the second time, having also done so in extra time against Hull three years ago.
SANCHEZ IS ARSENAL’S MAIN MAN
Alexis Sanchez scored his 30th goal of the season and, having added 15 assists, has been directly involved in 45 goals in 51 games in all competitions. He also scored for the fifth successive game, for the first time in his Arsenal career.
OLIVIER’S INSTANT IMPACT
Having replaced Danny Welbeck immediately after Chelsea’s equaliser, Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud had been on the field only 38 seconds by the time he set up his side’s second goal for Wales international Ramsey.
MERTESACKER PICKS THE PER-FECT MATCH
One start, one trophy. The FA Cup final was Per Mertesacker’s first start of the season. He played a total of just 127 minutes in the 2016/17 campaign.
