TEAM NEWS

MANCHESTER UNITED

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is suspended for the final.

The Ivory Coast defender was handed a straight red card towards the end of the semi-final second leg against Celta Vigo – a match back-up goalkeeper Sergio Romero started, just as he will in Stockholm after Jose Mourinho confirmed he would play instead of David De Gea.

A serious knee injury prevents Zlatan Ibrahimovic playing in his home country, while Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young and Luke Shaw are long-term absentees. Marouane Fellaini (hamstring) and Chris Smalling (toe) trained on the eve of the match after sitting out the Premier League finale against Crystal Palace.

Provisional squad: Romero, De Gea, Pereira, Valencia, Tuanzebe, Fosu-Mensah, Jones, Mitchell, Smalling, Darmian, Blind, Herrera, Carrick, Mkhitaryan, McTominay, Harrop, Martial, Rashford, Rooney

Likely starting XI: Romero, Valencia, Jones, Blind, Darmian, Fellaini, Herrera, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Lingard

AJAX

Left-backs Nick Viergever and Daley Sinkgraven are out of Ajax’s Europa League final against Manchester United.

Viergever is suspended and fellow defender Sinkgraven is out of Wednesday’s finale in Stockholm despite resuming training after a knee injury sustained six weeks ago.

Davy Klaassen will skipper Ajax on Wednesday, with Chelsea loanee Bertrand Traore set to line-up in attack.

Provisional squad: Onana, Boer, Alblas, Tete, Veltman, Sanchez, Westermann, de Ligt, Riedewald, Klaassen, Schone, de Jong, Ziyech, van de Beek, Nouri, Neres, Traore, Younes, Dolberg, Kluivert

Likely starting XI: Onana, Veltman, Sanchez, De Ligt, Riedewald, Klaassen, Schone, Ziyech, Traore, Dolberg, Younes
