Was Monaco star Kylian Mbappe an Arsenal fan as a youngster? Picture emerges of striker in a Gunners shirt

It’s not all doom and gloom for Arsenal fans.

Monaco prodigy Mbappe, who has been linked with a move away to the Premier League this coming summer, seems to have a soft spot for the north London club.

French defender Sebastien Corchia posted a Tweet earlier on Tuesday showing Mbappe wearing Arsenal’s invincibles away kit of 2004.

Corchia, who at 26 is eight years older than Mbappe, was playing in a youth team at the time – which was amazingly managed by Mbappe’s dad.

Of course, now, both the Lille defender and Monaco striker are full internationals having played for France last month.

Real Madrid are favourites to land the 18-year-old forward at the end of the season but all is not lost for Arsenal, given that Mbappe wasn’t afraid to pledge his allegiances to Arsene Wengers’s men before.
