Dutch legend Ronald de Boer’s ultimate Holland XI from the past 20 years

It is fair to say there have been some quite incredible Dutch sides down the years, from the total football of Johan Cruyff to the Dennis Bergkamp inspired side of the nineties.

And at the heart of the latter team was brothers Ronald and Frank de Boer.

This week, we spoke with the former in a wide-ranging interview from coaching in Qatar to the current crop of Dutch players.

But we couldn’t help but reminisce and took the opportunity to ask De Boer for his best XI for the famous Oranje over the past 20 years.

There are some stellar names in here, while De Boer also included himself and his brother.
