Euro 2016 moment: Italy vs Spain – Daniele De Rossi nutmegs Andres Iniesta

Italy began their Euro 2016 round of 16 tie against Spain in fine fashion. They were largely the better side in the first half and went into the break with a one-goal advantage.

However, apart from Giorgino Chiellini’s strike to give the Spaniards the lead, there was another moment of pure joy in the opening 45 minutes for the Italian fans to savour.

Andres Iniesta is one of the greatest and most decorated midfielders to ever grace a football pitch but that meant little to Italian veteran Daniele De Rossi when he pulled off a cheeky nutmeg on the World Cup and European Championship winner.

Within the confines of a tight space in midfield, the AS Roma man slipped the ball through Iniesta’s legs which set off an Italian attack.

That’s certainly not something that happens to the Catalan too often.
