Manchester City star Aleksandar Kolarov said: “The Manchester derby is one of the most important fixtures in the Premier League calendar for us and one that our fans look forward to more than any other.

“United have a strong team and it’s never an easy place to go but it’s a game that we want to win and we have some great memories of visiting Old Trafford in recent years.

“We have seen first-hand the passion of our fans out in Abu Dhabi and I have no doubt that they will be looking forward to this game just as much as we are here. I thank them for their support and hope that we can produce a fantastic performance to bring them the result they want most.”

Manchester City have been running Sky Blue Fanzones for several seasons, including events to celebrate English Premier League title wins and cup victories.

They also run City Football Schools at Zayed Sports City and at New York University Abu Dhabi.
