Gameweek 14 in Fantasy Premier League was another high-scoring one and there’s bound to be more entertainment over the festive fixtures.

Looking ahead to GW15, Arsenal host Chelsea in the big game of the round while Manchester City and Liverpool welcome Newcastle United and West Brom respectively.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Tottenham travel to Leicester City and Wolves.

Here are a few tips to help guide you through GW15.

CAPTAIN – MOHAMED SALAH | LIVERPOOL | 12.5M

He was our choice for the captaincy in GW14 and after a 16-point haul despite starting the 7-0 drubbing of Crystal Palace on the bench, there’s no reason to take the armband off Mohamed Salah this time around.

The Egyptian continues to enjoy his finest start to an FPL season having already racked up 118 points. He leads the scoring charts with 13 goals and has the capacity to deliver big, registering four double-figure hauls this campaign.

Salah has scored five goals in the last four GWs and having only appeared as a substitute at Selhurst Park, will be likely to play the full 90 minutes in a very attractive home fixture with relegation favourites West Brom.

ALTERNATIVE

KEVIN DE BRUYNE (11.8m) continues to create chance after chance and should have more than his seven assists this season but for some wasteful finishing from his team-mates. Sergio Aguero’s return to fitness should help his cause as City host Newcastle in GW15.

BOLD CHOICE

JACK GREALISH (7.8m) is having a phenomenal season as his underlying stats promise a steady stream of FPL points. Against West Brom in GW14, he created eight chances, more than anyone else in an away game over the last five seasons. His 38 chances created from open play this season is more than any player in Europe’s top five leagues. A wounded Palace side could be on the receiving end of more.

ONE TO GET

CHE ADAMS | SOUTHAMPTON | 6.0M

Among strikers this season, Che Adams has been the best of the rest. Beyond the popular options of Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Patrick Bamford and Callum Wilson, the Southampton man has chipped away with 67 points so far.

That tally is greater than his injury-hit strike partner Danny Ings [62], Timo Werner [59] and Roberto Firmino [64]. With Ings suffering a hamstring injury in GW14, Adams will be the main man up top for the Saints again, a role he’s proved capable of taking on.

ONE TO AVOID

CALLUM WILSON | NEWCASTLE UNITED | 6.6M

Wilson has been exceptional is a Newcastle side that has often lacked firepower. His eight goals and four assists this season has gone above and beyond his starting price of just 6.5m. However, the next few games could be rough for the striker as the Magpies face Man City, Liverpool and Leicester on the bounce.

BARGAIN BUY

DANNY WELBECK | BRIGHTON | 5.5M

With four attacking returns in the last six GWs, Danny Welbeck is emerging as a useful budget striker with a low ownership of under 1.5 per cent. He came off the bench against Sheffield United in GW14 and went on to score the equaliser to salvage a draw and even managed to claim all three bonus points. He takes on West Ham away next.
