The Fantasy Premier League season is really shaping up now with teams approaching full fitness.

Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford in the big match of Gameweek 7 while Liverpool and Tottenham have appealing home encounters with West Ham and Brighton respectively.

Meanwhile, Manchester City travel to Sheffield United and Chelsea make the trip to Burnley.

Here are a few tips to help guide you through GW7.

CAPTAIN – SON HEUNG-MIN | TOTTENHAM | 9.5M

Harry Kane [10.9m] is a viable captain candidate every week at this point. Having only blanked in GW1 so far, his consistency is unparalleled. However, with four double-figure hauls in his last five GWs, Son Heung-min warrants the captain’s armband this week.

The Spurs midfielder is the highest-scoring player in the game with 69 points. No player has mustered more bonus points than the South Korean either [10]. Tottenham host a Brighton side this week that is yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

ALTERNATIVE

MOHAMED SALAH (12.4m) is also an excellent choice if you’re staying away from the Spurs duo. He’s only blanked twice this term, is on penalties and leads the league for shots inside the box per game at 3.7.

BOLD CHOICE

WILFRIED ZAHA (7.3m) looks like he’s flourishing as the main man for Crystal Palace, scoring in consecutive GWs. He’s the third highest-scoring midfielder in the game but the fact that he faces Wolves away this time around makes him a bit of a risk.

ONE TO GET

SADIO MANE | LIVERPOOL | 12.0M

Sadio Mane has quietly gone about picking up points this season. He’s the sixth highest-scoring midfielder despite Liverpool being inactive in GW2 and him missing GW4 through injury. He’s only blanked in one of his five appearances and with an ownership of under 10 per cent at the time of writing, represents a superb differential.

ONE TO AVOID

RIYAD MAHREZ | MANCHESTER CITY | 8.4M

A goal and assist against his former employers Leicester City in GW3 remains Riyad Mahrez’s only contributions this campaign. With Kevin De Bruyne [11.5m] now back from injury, his spot in the starting XI is under threat as well. He failed to get on the pitch in GW2.

BARGAIN BUY

MAX KILMAN | WOLVES | 4.2M

If you picked him up when he was a 4.0m defender, then well done! But it’s not too late now either. At just 4.2m, Max Kilman is cheap way into a sturdy Wolves defence. He’s already bagged 23 points with two clean sheets and six bonus points. His fixtures do turn in the coming weeks but he’s still worth a buy as the cheapest starting defender in the game.
