There are big decisions to be made in Fantasy Premier League at this point of the season.

Gameweek 29 brings with it two fixtures for Manchester City and Arsenal players.

Should you use your Wild Card or Free Hit chips to capitalise? That really depends on the make up of your squad.

If you’ve got just one or zero players from the two Double Gameweek [DGW] teams, a Free Hit is worth considering. A Wild Card may be more pertinent if you’re also going to struggle to field a full team for Blank Gameweek [BGW] 31.

In addition to playing City, Arsenal also host West Ham in this round while the Premier League champions have the Manchester derby to contend with.

Here are a few tips to help guide you through GW29.

CAPTAIN – PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG | ARSENAL | 11.0M

Of the top players enjoying a DGW, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is possibly the most popular and with good reason.

The Arsenal skipper tops the goal-scoring charts this season alongside Jamie Vardy but unlike the Englishman, he’s a reliable producer, delivering consistent returns throughout the season, managerial changes and all.

He’s also one of the few in-form strikers at the moment and will be targeting his fixture at home to West Ham for big points. However, City have proved to be vulnerable as well and Aubameyang is just the sort of forward who could exploit their high-line by bursting into the space in behind.

His recent form is promising as well having scored three goals in his last three games since returning from suspension.

ALTERNATIVES

MOHAMED SALAH (12.8m) and Liverpool will both want to respond after suffering a couple of setbacks. The Egyptian was rested as Chelsea knocked the Reds out of the FA Cup in midweek, so he should be fresh and raring to go against Bournemouth at home – a side he loves facing. In five games against the Cherries, he boasts a perfect record, scoring seven and providing one assist.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE (10.7m) is a slight injury doubt but having been rested in the FA Cup, he should return for the Manchester derby. City also host Arsenal this GW, boosting De Bruyne’s chances for a big haul.

BOLD CHOICE

NICK POPE (7.1m) has blanked in just one of the last six GWs, scoring a whopping 49 points in that time from four clean sheets, a penalty save and 10 bonus points. Burnley are at home to Tottenham who are struggling, so there’s every chance Pope makes a few stops from range en route to another clean sheet.

ONE TO GET

MATT DOHERTY | WOLVES | 6.2M

The Matt Doherty of last season is finally back. He is on the expensive side, but with 34 points from his last four games – including a goal, two assists and three clean sheets – he may well be worth his 6.2m price tag. The attacking right-back faces Brighton at home who have kept just one clean sheet in the last 17 GWs.

ONE TO AVOID

JAMES VARDY | LEICESTER CITY | 9.8M

With just one return – an assist – in the last 10 GWs, it’s fair to say Jamie Vardy’s early-season form is long gone. The striker and Leicester City as a team have struggled of late. With Aubameyang delivering the goods along with cheaper strikers like Raul Jimenez or Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Vardy doesn’t justify a spot, especially with the Foxes blanking in GW31.

Jamie Vardy

BARGAIN BUY

ISMAILA SARR | WATFORD | 6.3M

After putting Liverpool to the sword and ending their ambitions to emulate The Invincibles with a brace and assist in a 3-0 win, Ismaila Sarr is on everyone’s radar. Watford are simply a better side with him in it. He’s blanked just twice in his last seven starts, bagging two double-figure hauls in that time. He features in GW31 and has decent fixtures moving forward.
