Kevin De Bruyne returned to action as Manchester City named a strong line-up for their FA Cup third-round tie with Championship Rotherham at the Etihad Stadium.

Manager Pep Guardiola did make eight changes from the side that beat Liverpool on Thursday but his side was still stacked with experience and quality.

De Bruyne’s return came after two matches out with a muscular problem while Kyle Walker came back in after three games out of favour. Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Bernardo Silva were rested but Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus provided attacking thrust.
