Danny Murphy says Eden Hazard should remain at Chelsea and become the club’s best ever player rather than opt for a mega money move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The Chelsea superstar has been warned there are no guarantees he would find ‘happiness’ at Real.

The Belgian forward, who has already scored ten goals this season, reiterated last month that it has been his dream since he was a child to play for Los Blancos.

The La Liga giants have been linked with a move for Hazard for the best part of two years and he does not appear willing to turn them down.

But former Liverpool and England midfielder Murphy has warned Hazard about joining Real and says he can become Chelsea’s best-ever player if he stays.

“Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League and I can see him staying at Chelsea for the long term, if he is offered the right contract,” he told bwin.

“I think his family are happy in London and there’s no guarantee he would get that freedom and happiness at Real Madrid.

“I think Hazard could become Chelsea’s best player in history if he chooses to stay at the club.”
