We all know Mohamed Salah set the Premier League alight this season, breaking the 38-game season scoring record with a blistering 32 goals as Liverpool blasted 84 in total.

Even so, the rampant Reds were still left in Manchester City’s shadow as Pep Guardiola’s team broke collective records here, there and everywhere. The champions set a new league mark of 100 points – beating Chelsea’s 2004/05 total of 95, while they also broke the ton barrier for goals scored (106).

And while Salah carried his team throughout a first full season with Liverpool, the Reds were not totally reliant on him as Roberto Firmino (15) and Sadio Mane (10) weighed in with double figures.

Salah bagged 38 per cent of Liverpool’s league goals this term, but that was dwarfed by Tottenham’s Harry Kane, who netted 40.5 per cent of the north Londoners’ goals – making him the most relied-upon Premier League goalscorer.
