Report: Sir Alex Ferguson ‘out of a coma and showing early signs of recovery’

Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly out of a coma and showing initial signs of recovery after having emergency surgery on a brain haemorrhage last Saturday.

According to the Daily Mail, the 76-year-old Scot – who remains in intensive care – has been talking to family and friends at Salford Royal Hospital.

Ferguson has received well-wishes from across the footballing world since news broke of his ill-health.
