It’s been a frustrating season for Antonio Conte, but that doesn’t mean the Chelsea manager can’t see the funny side of things on occasion.

The Italian was speaking at the pre-mach news conference on Wednesday ahead of his team’s Thursday night fixture against Burnley when he was interrupted by a phone call from his wife.

“Always in the worst moment,” Conte joked about his wife’s timing.

Then, wondering if that comment would land him in trouble – at home, if not with the FA – he added: “You can give me a fine!”
