Manchester City‘s miserable run of form was brought to an end with a 3-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley.

Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions-elect made the breakthrough when Gabriel Jesus was sent clean through by Vincent Kompany’s ball over the top.

Raheem Sterling then won a penalty which was converted by Ilkay Gundogan before Christian Eriksen pulled one back for the hosts at the end of the first half.

However, Sterling tucked away a rebound in the second half to make it 3-1 to the visitors.

Here are our City player ratings:

MANCHESTER CITY (3-4-3)

Ederson – 5: Unlucky with the ricochet for the goal. Didn’t have a save to make until Lucas Moura’s late effort from range.

Kyle Walker – 6: Industrious performance against his former side.

Fabian Delph – 6: Ran his socks off and did well to keep Lamela quiet. Didn’t offer much going forward.

Aymeric Laporte – 7: Assured performance at the heart of the defence.

Vincent Kompany – 8: Another commanding display at the back. Played an exquisite ball over the top to assist Jesus for the opener. Kept Kane on a short leash.

Kevin De Bruyne – 7: Some unbelievable touches and passes from the Belgian.

David Silva – 7: Matched De Bruyne’s class and tested the keeper with a shot in the first half.

Raheem Sterling – 7: The most threatening player on the pitch and could well have had a hat-trick but his finishing let him down.

Ilkay Gundogan – 6: Kept the ball well and scored the perfect penalty.

Gabriel Jesus – 7: Excellent finish for the opener but completely fluffed his lines when presented with a similar chance in the second half. His shot produced the rebound from which Sterling scored.

Leroy Sane – 6: Hit the upright with a cracking volley in the opening exchanges but that was his best moment of the match.
