Liverpool thumped Watford 5-0 in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday courtesy of a Mohamed Salah masterclass.

The Egyptian scored twice before setting up Roberto Firmino and going on to add two more to the scoreline.

His four goals on the day took him to 28 Premier League goals for the season.

Here are our ratings for the Liverpool players.

LIVERPOOL 4-3-3

Loris Karius – 6: Barely had anything to do. A Roberto Pereyra effort that crashed off the woodwork momentarily woke him from his slumber.

Joe Gomez – 7: Had a front row seat to the Salah show and occasionally even joined in on the act by aiding the magician.

Joel Matip – 7: Brought a sense of calm and assurance to the backline that Liverpool could only dream of with Dejan Lovren in his place.

Virgil van Dijk – 7: A commanding presence as usual. Was almost bored at the back. Too easy.

Andrew Robertson – 7: A superb cross to assist Salah for his second. Enjoyed plenty of attacking forays down the left.

Jordan Henderson – 7: Anchored the midfield well, serving as the launching pad of several attacks.

Emre Can – 6: Began the game well enough but had to go off injured in the 27th minute.

Georginio Wijnaldum – 6: Didn’t look very sharp and was on the fringes of the game. Subbed of with 20 minutes to go.

Mohamed Salah – 10: They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Lionel Messi must feel very flattered about now. Four goals, an assist and several defenders left in his wake. Take a bow, Mohamed Salah.

Roberto Firmino – 8: Executed an audacious finish for his goal. Was excellent throughout and perhaps should’ve had another.

Sadio Mane – 8: Did well to set up Salah twice. Wasn’t at his sharpest and would’ve liked to get on the score sheet but still a good performance.

SUBS

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6: Added a bit more drive from midfield in the last 20 minutes.

James Milner – 6: Some excellent passes on show having replaced Can in the first half.

Danny Ings – 6: So close to a goal after Salah set him up only for the keeper to save it and the Egyptian to smash home the rebound.
