Toby Alderweireld is being reintegrated into first-team training at Tottenham.

The Belgian centre-back, 29, missed the Champions League defeat to Juventus on Wednesday with a hamstring problem.

He has already missed three months of this season with a hamstring injury before returning in the FA Cup match against Newport on February 7.

A tweet from the club on Friday read: “@AlderweireldTob (hamstring) is in the early stages of integrating in parts of first team training.”

The club also reported that midfielder Eric Dier suffered an elbow injury against Juventus and was being assessed ahead of Sunday’s match at Bournemouth.
