Man United midfielder Scott McTominay meets Scotland boss Alex McLeish amid international tussle

22:10 02/03/2018

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has met with Scotland boss Alex McLeish as his international future remains unclear.

The 21-year-old was born in England but is also eligible to play for Scotland through his father. He’s set to meet with England boss Gareth Southgate on Friday.

McTominay starred in United’s win over Chelsea on Sunday, and also acquitted himself well against Sevilla in the Champions League last week, earning praise from manager Jose Mourinho for his recent displays.

However, Mourinho said on Friday that he has no idea which country McTominay will choose to represent.

Both England and Scotland are due to announce senior squads next week ahead of international fixtures later this month. It remains to be seen which squad, if any, McTominay features in.
