Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has revealed he grew up supporting the Kop club and it always his dream to play for the Merseysiders.

The Egyptian, who on Sunday became the fastest Reds player to scored 20 Premier League goals in a season after he netted against Tottenham, has been a revelation since his £34m summer switch from Roma.

“I have loved the club since I was young and knew this was a team I wanted to play for,” the 25-year-old told FourFourTwo in a recent interview.

“I knew the history this club has and, as soon as I got the chance, I had to make it happen.”

In total, Salah has netted 28 goals for Jurgen Klopp’s men this term and is set to star for his country at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
