Manchester City‘s winning run was on Saturday extended to a 17th consecutive Premier League win as they defeated Bournemouth 4-0 at the Etihad.

Here we take a look at the player ratings for both the teams.

MANCHESTER CITY

Ederson – A bit rash when challenging Wilson and leaving the ball behind, but that incident just before half time didn’t prove costly. 6

Walker – With City on the attack mostly, he was not as prominent further forward as he should have been. 6

Kompany – Welcomed back after injury and apart from one moment in the Ederson mix-up, manned his defence well. 7

Otamendi – Growing in stature and while not tested as much at the back, he pushed forward well to show off his vision and a thunderous shot was pushed away by Begovic. 8

Delph – Increasingly effective and influential at left-back now. Offered strong support in attack and played crucial part in opener. 8

De Bruyne – Array of passing is a joy but a quiet game by his high standards. 6

Fernandinho – Perhaps the most under-rated midfielder in the division. Industrious and quietly classy. 8

Silva – Missed the last two games for personal reasons but settled back into the groove like he’d never been away. 7

Sterling – Even when you think he’s quiet, he still manages to contribute. Another goal for the frontman as he put the Cherries to the sword again and assisted Danilo. 8

Agüero – Got the nod over Jesus and all praise to the Argentine for leading the line impressively, scoring twice, assisting another. 9

Sané – The flier was grounded on this occasion. Managed a couple of runs, but expected more from the German. 5

SUBS

Bernardo (for Sane 67′) – Fast becoming a superb sub with a glorious cross for Aguero’s second goal. 7

Gundogan (for De Bruyne 74′) – Slotted into midfield with ease. 6

Danilo (for Delph 81′) – First goal for the Brazilian as he added spark off the bench. 7

BOURNEMOUTH

Begovic – Great save from Otamendi but mistake saw City grab crucial opener. 5

S Cook – Manfully stuck to his task, but like the rest of his backline was undone by City’s clever and creative attack. 5

Aké – Never easy marking Aguero and the Dutchman will have gained valuable lessons. 5

Simpson – A daunting league debut for the defender and despite his efforts, it was an uncomfortable experience. 5

A Smith – Did well to restrict Sane, but capped difficult day with a booking for bundling over Aguero. 6

Gosling – Ran his socks off, but that always seems to be the case against De Bruyne and Silva. 6

Surman – Helped keep things tight in the first half, but once City went ahead, was overrun in midfield. 5

Fraser – Battled to keep Walker in check on the left, but Sterling and Bernardo provided an even tougher test. 5

Ibe – Hasn’t fulfilled the potential witnessed at Liverpool and offered little threat here. 5

Stanislas – Volleyed an early chance wide, but that was his last bit of action as suffered an injury in the process. 6

Wilson – A trier, but it was always asking too much for him to make an impact against City’s defence. 6

SUBS

Pugh (for Stanislas 12′) – An early introduction but struggled to get involved. 5

Afobe (for Wilson 72′) – Brought on to freshen the attack, but proved a futile change. 5
