Sadio Mane opened the scoring to help Liverpool to 3-0 win away to Stoke City in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Mohamed Salah didn’t start the game but came on in the second half to score twice and cap a good away performance for the Reds.

Here, we rate the Liverpool players.

LIVERPOOL

SIMON MIGNOLET: Hardly convincing again. Could’ve easily seen red when he took out Mame Biram Diouf on the edge of the box. Fortunately, he wasn’t tested enough. 6

JOE GOMEZ: Did well to get forward and created the chance for the first goal. Largely dealt with Choupo-Moting. 6

JOEL MATIP: Should’ve done better to deal with Mame Biram Diouf but let him through instead and Mignolet could’ve gotten sent off for intervening. Was Liverpool’s best defender though, making five interceptions and eight clearances, winning eight aerial duels as well. 7

DEJAN LOVREN: Partnered Matip excellently in defence. He made eight clearances as well and hardly put a foot wrong. 6

ALBERTO MORENO: Got up the pitch often enough but when given the opportunity to produce, his delivery was disappointing. Was solid enough at the back. 6

GIORGINIO WIJNALDUM: Was good on the ball and released Mane into space behind the defence on a couple of occasions. 7

ALEX-OXLADE CHAMBERLAIN: Was involved in the first goal and covered plenty of ground. Industrious display from the former Arsenal man. 6

EMRE CAN: Tried to link up with the forwards and did well to control the midfield along with Chamberlain and Wijnaldum. 6

DOMINIC SOLANKE: Looked threatening and should’ve scored but his finish was tame when Firmino teed him up. Got the assist for the opener. 7

ROBERTO FIRMINO: Was involved in a few good attacks for the visitors and linked up well with the likes of Mane and Solanke. Never looked like scoring though. 6

SADIO MANE: He was always dangerous running in behind a sluggish Potters defence, took his goal well and should’ve had another when he went clean through and hit the post. Set up Salah for the second and made it easy for the Egyptian when he was introduced. 9

SUBSTITUTES

MOHAMED SALAH: (for Chamberlain 67′): A phenomenal display from the bench. Took both goals superbly and looked like scoring more. 8

JAMES MILNER (for Solanke 67′): Shored up the midfield. 6

JORDAN HENDERSON (for Mane 89′): Didn’t have much time to make an impact. N/A
