Everton have had a torrid season so far. The Toffees are currently placed 15th in the Premier League table, cannot qualify for the knockout phases of the Europa League and also out of the Carabao Cup.

The unexpected sluggish start led to Ronald Koeman’s sacking and plenty of speculation as to who will replace him – with one man constantly being linked, Thomas Tuchel.

Having last managed Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, Tuchel is renowned as an innovator, is adaptive to opposition strength and weaknesses and likes to use many formations.

The German is also a firm believer in developing youth while going about his business. Something Everton have in abundance.
