Premier League champions Chelsea came from a goal down to a earn a much-needed 4-2 victory over Watford.

Goals from Pedro, Michy Batshuayi (2) and Cesar Azpilicueta secured the three points for Antonio Conte’s men after the Hornets went 2-1 up through Abdoulaye Doucoure and Roberto Pereyra.

Here, Press Association Sport analyses the contribution of Chelsea winger Eden Hazard.

POSITIONING

Hazard spent much of the game out on the left flank but drifted across the pitch as he looked to support lone striker Alvaro Morata and, later, substitute Batshuayi.

He occasionally moved across to the right, interchanging with Pedro, and was always looking to receive a short ball to feet.

LINK-UP PLAY

The 26-year-old demonstrated some delightful flicks and tricks and had a hand in Pedro’s opener with some quick thinking following a short corner.

GOAL THREAT

Hazard scored his first club goals of the season during the midweek Champions League draw with Roma but he did not look like adding to his tally here and failed to register a meaningful attempt on goal.

OVERALL CONTRIBUTION

Hazard showed glimpses of his talent with some slick touches, purposeful runs and neat interplay but he was a peripheral figure for much of the match and overshadowed by team-mates Pedro and Batshuayi.
