Pep Guardiola’s first season in the Premier League did not go as planned.

While many expected the decorated manager to lead Manchester City to the title, the team found itself engulfed in a close race for the top four, eventually finishing third.

While it was far from a disastrous season, it was also the Spaniard’s first as a manager without a trophy.

After spending over £160 million on transfers last summer and then beginning the season with a 10-match winning streak, the eventual outcome was not ideal.

However, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich supremo is well equipped to set things right in his second season.
